Who the patient is: Monica, aged 2 years old, has been brought to the hospital by her mother because she had a fit. She has been managed in the A&E department and has been referred to you. Her temperature is 38.9°C. On examination, there is redness over her left eardrum.

What you should do: Please talk to her mother, Mrs. Diana Julie, take history, discuss your plan of management with the mother and address her concerns. The mother is very concerned. The child is not in the cubicle.
