Who the patient is: Lucy, 15 months old, was brought to the hospital by her father with fever, shortness of breath and was pulling her left ear. They went to the GP and he gave her PCM and referred her to the hospital. Her father is concerned about her condition. On examination, there is redness over her left ear drum. What you should do: Please talk to her father, take history, discuss plan of management with the father and address his concerns. Nurse colleagues are looking after her in the next room.
